Why PE Coating is Essential

The essence of paper is fiber, which has porosity and can penetrate, soften, and lose strength when exposed to water or oil. The main purpose of PE coating is to:

Leak proof: prevents liquids such as water, coffee, juice, etc. from penetrating the paper wall
Oil proof: prevents the penetration of oil and fat in food
Sealing: When bonded to the bottom of the cup, the PE layer provides a heat sealed surface to ensure that the bottom of the cup does not leak
